Demeny Racing has completed rounds 5 & 6 in Bark River, Michigan. As you may know, Bark River is known for their land rush start. All of the trucks line up side by side. When the green flag drops, each driver must pull out all the stops to get to the first corner first. The Sportsman Stock class has some great competition this year. On Saturday, Demeny Racing’s Don Demeny was fighting his way to the corner with the rest of the pack. Because of the tight squeeze around the first turn, there was a lot of carnage. Don was able to complete the round with a strong 5th place finish.
With just one week to complete repairs, Don and his crew have been very busy. They have replaced each body panel, altered the suspension, and made some adjustments to the motor, all to prepare for the short course of the next race at Oshkosh on July 25th and 26th. “It’s been several years since the Oshkosh facility has hosted an Off Road race. We’re excited to return to this challenging track! It should prove to be a GREAT event under the lights on Friday and Saturday night! We’re really hoping the fans come out to enjoy the show! There’s a covered grandstand for spectators as well as the opportunity to tour the pit sites of each team.” stated Demeny Racing owner & driver, Don Demeny. Don would like to extend a huge thank you to the team’s newest sponsor, Super Clean. Attached is a photo of the Demeny crew sporting their new Super Clean attire. “We’re lucky to have the support of companies like Rancho, Goodyear, Bayland Telephone, Cellcom, Colortech, and Super Clean! We are extremely honored that these sponsors have put their faith in our team!” Don would also like to personally thank Don & Jeff Holtger of Holtger Brothers for keeping the truck bolted together.
Demeny Racing is excited to announce the addition of Super Clean as their latest sponsor! Super Clean is a premier manufacturer of a remarkable degreaser that can be found at True Value stores nationwide, Menards, AutoZone, Wal-Mart, and Ace Hardware to name a few.
SuperClean products have use in many applications including automotive, household, industrial and outdoor. Off-road racing fans can become more familiar with SuperClean by visiting the company on the internet at superclean.com. Super Clean is a perfect fit for Demeny Racing, as Don is constantly cleaning anything he can get his hands on! Image is very important to their team and their sponsors. With Super Clean, when you see the cleanest truck on the track, Don Demeny will be behind the wheel! It's not just clean....it's SUPER CLEAN!
Demeny Racing has completed another busy weekend of racing at Crandon, Wisconsin, competing in rounds 3 & 4. Don came into the weekend in 6th place in overall points in the Sportsman Stock class. On Saturday, the #885 Rancho Dodge came around the first corner in 3rd position. After carefully working to maintain his 3rd place position for the entire race, he was passed on the final lap, finishing the day in 4th. On Sunday, Don came around the first turn door to door action. Again, Don held his place for the entire race until the truck mysteriously died on a hairpin turn with two laps to go, again allowing for a pass by a competitor. The truck re-fired and Don was able to finish up round 4 in 4th place. He maintains his 6th place position in overall points.
Goodyear Tire set Don up with a new tire groove that proved to be a powerful component to the success in getting to the first turn in the top three. A huge thank you is in order for Crew Chief, Gene Demeny and Chief Mechanic, Randy Heimke for their dedication to the Demeny Racing team. They have both put in countless hours into making sure that the truck is a top performer. The Sportsman Stock Dodge ran beautifully both days because of their commitment. Don and his crew are working on getting the truck prepped for the next exciting rounds of racing being held at the UP Off Road 100 in Bark River, Michigan for rounds 5 & 6 which will be held on July 12th and 13th. Demeny Racing would like to extend their gratitude and well wishes to Beth Mooney from Rancho for her years of dedication to Demeny Racing. She was a true believer in our team as well as the sport of Off Road Racing. Thank you, Beth! |
